An as yet-to-be-determined fall marathon, possibly Chicago??? More likely Wineglass or Baystate.

I signed up for Eastern States 1/2 M today...
Greetings from the Eastern States 20 Mile! Now a few weeks into 2010, it will not be long until runners? thoughts turn to springtime. One of the first races of the spring each year is the Eastern States 20 Mile, and its companion event, the Run for the Border Half Marathon. As a runner who has participated recently, we hope you will join us again this year, on Sunday, March 28, whether you are looking for a competitive race, a training run for the Boston Marathon three weeks hence, or simply a scenic tour of the Seacoast. Our early entry fee of $32 for the 20-mile and $27 for the half marathon are among the best bargains in long distance running in the region, but ends on January 31, so please visit www.easternstates20mile.com to sign up for this year?s race before that date to take advantage of the reduced price. If you have already registered, thank you! All participants will receive a commemorative technical race shirt, and all top three age-group finishers in both races will receive snazzy embroidered long-sleeved jackets. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail us at don-allison@comcast.net. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2010 and hope to see you in March. Sincerely, Don Allison, race director
Life's journey is not to arrive safely to the grave in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!

Greg_C and rcuch, want to carpool Sunday?
Race is at 9:15, I guess I'd like to be there by 8:15 so leave by 7:30? Maybe 7:15 to leave a super double margin for error. I'd like to run the course as warm up.
I'm willing to drive.

Or something!!! Wicked hot! Awesome time but the heat took any real effort out of me. Proof is that I feel great today and shouldn't!
We had a fantastic time and I'm ready to sign up again! This time none of Jim's devil patties pre-race!!!!!
Plus- loose 6 pounds, run in June (at least some), warm up a head of time to be ready for the instant system shocker, and runs some hills prior to.
We did place 3rd Males Master Team!!!!!!
90+ at the base, 56 at the top. The lower half heat sucked out all my energy. I legs and lungs felt great just no juice in the tank. I will break 1:25 next year- bank on it!!
