Dear Noble families,
This is an FYI about a potentially concerning incident involving student reports of being videotaped. Weds PM Hussey students traveling home by bus reported a man in a yellow truck following the bus while possibly taking pictures of the kids via a personal electronic device. Student reports at the time were scant and could not be substantiated.
This afternoon while again riding home from school, Hussey students reported to their bus driver concerning the sighting of a man in a yellow truck following the bus. A student took pictures of the yellow truck and showed them to the bus driver, but the driver did not believe it was the same truck from the earlier incident.
Just in case, Hussey School was contacted via radio, Berwick PD was called, and a staff member left school to see if she could find the yellow truck so as to be further able to provide information to Berwick PD. Apparently she found a yellow truck with similar license plate and description. Police were contacted, met with the driver, and determined there was no connection to student reports. A second vehicle and driver was also investigated this afternoon with no connection again discovered.
We do not have reason to raise extreme concern at this time, though I wanted you to be aware of reports. Student vigilance to their surroundings is a good thing, and the Berwick PD were more than happy to assist and check things out at our request.
