I've heard the suggestion to hook up to a USB battery charger before and somehow it works while running. Has anyone tried this?

Crewed for a runner at Burning River 100 that tried the USB battery charger. It worked well for about 20 miles and then died due to sweat (most likely). The Garmin has to be on the base for the connection to be made to the charger, so you may have to experiment with it a bit to see what would work for you for an extended period of time.

I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
