Race Report Chippewa 50K
AARRGH. I suffered mightly the last hour. Legs didn't have any pop. No meaningful taper. Two minutes slower than 3 years ago. If I would have gone 3 minutes slower the first half I could have gone 5 minutes faster the second half (lesson from DB). Splits 2:08, 2:17
Potentially. I am running Tahoe 100 in July and my husband may or may not pace me. Depends on whether or not he decided to run a 50 miler the week after... I'll know more in a couple weeks.

Oh. I ran Capitol Peak yesterday. Came in 21st. Settle down, out of 69. (actually I'm pretty sure that one person in front of me cheated, but whadaya do). For some scale, the first place dude... also the winner of 2011 Cascade Crest... ran a 4:18. I, however, ran a less-than-smokin 7:05. Ha.

I met your wife - super nice lady and strong runner. The majority of our pacers were on goal. And as a first timer, I was only 12 seconds fast, but within my 60 second window. I will count that as a WIN! I was a late addition to the pace team, but was happy to be able to use this as my last "long run" leading up to IceAge
