Wonderful Wednesday- Supermoms (Read 365 times)

CTimesTwo

back for a few quick responses...

ca - C was born with congenital epillus which sounds worse than it is... she had a bump coming in from her upper gum, kind of like a pearl.. it was a benign tumor and thankfully it shrunk so no surgery required!  It's right where the canine tooth should come in though so the dentist wants to monitor her until it comes in..

zorbs - i'm not sure where the closes Once Upon a child is, but basically my problem is buying stuff C clearly doesn't need.. like does she really need another cute pink sleeper when she has 6?!

mer - i'd go with the scarf!

arm - i get pains in my feet and legs when my shoes are worn out too!

spike - C is now 8 months...  i'm not too concerned about the crawling, I don't think I'd be that upset if she skipped it as long as she was developing in other areas like trying to stand or pull herself into sitting..

rocky - the one time I put C in tights she kept trying to pull them off her feet... she hates socks so since she's not walking yet, I just put her in cute slippers when it's cold out..

leanne - just got back from lole, I have been waiting for 2 weeks for "your" tights (the cream w/red flowers) and the wrong ones came in! they reordered and are giving me 25% off though.

lee - glad your tempo went well.

mer - I'd rather have a scarf, personally. I've gotten tendonitis on the top of my foot before a couple of times from tying my shoes just a hair too tight. ART fixed it right up.

spike - my BFF gave us a gift card for a photo session at this mall place for B's baptism (when he was 4 months) and we still haven't gone yet. P.S. - leela is Jessica Z on FB.

rocky - I don't care if B gets his nice clothes dirty (not that he really has dressy/nice clothes anyways)  I guess that is one of the bonuses of having a boy.  All his stuff gets holes, poop, food stains and I couldn't care less.

simone - can't you sync with itunes? (says the apple hater)

arm - gotta love the random weird old shoe pains..not.

Arm - great job on the miles.  Yep, J is a teething mess too with the molars coming in.  Ugh.  I see one has poked through but the other side must still be coming because all I see are inflamed gums.  Boo.  I HATE moving...it stresses me to no end.  Since I have been engaged to DH we have moved 4 times!!  We lived in an apartment in another state, then bought a house, then moved to another state and rented an apartment and then bought a house.  I HATE MOVING!!  It is worth it in the end but so stressful at the time.  I would hate to move with all those kidsSmile

mer - You gained 40lbs with J because you needed those 40lbs...he needed you to have those pounds.

          runswithrocky

mer - I gained 38lb with Em.  I was doing great and then I was 10 days overdue and gain about 8-10lbs that week.  And yes, it was from eating, not from water.  LOL.  My DH is 6'3" and I ate him under the table those two weeks.  I just couldn't get full!

Zorbs - I normally don't care about her clothes either since I want her to have clothes she can move and play in.  MIL bought this fancy Christmas dress though so I'd like to keep it nice for our holiday functions.  I hate when MIL buys expensive clothes for Em to play in because, well, she's a toddler!  They are goign to get food, poop, dirt, etc. on them.  Why buy nice stuff?

Was it ARM? - I would do the lanyard.  I'm not a fashion scarf person though.  All my scarves are for when it's really cold outside!

            strollermama

zorbs - I have one pair of lole tights my MIL got me and they are amazing.  I had never heard of lole before (bit I do buy most of my workout clothes at nike or target).  They are lined with a thin fleece layer on the inside.  Can't wait to get back to cold weather to wear them again.

So, I can only hope that this is what the Dr. tells me and then try to find someone in the area to do the ART.  Suggestions for other remedies that helped or was it strictly ART?  Did you run through it?

Mer/Rocky- I was by no means underweight when I got pg and still gained 30-35 lbs (I don't even know the for sure number because I stopped paying attention). Your body will gain what it wants to gain, I'm sure I would have gained more if DH wasn't on a diet and had been more indulgent about taking me out for Mint Chocolate Chip Hot Fudge sundaes as often as I wanted to go.

Rocky- I am happy that my MIL buys R nice clothes, because I'm cheap and I only shop for him at WalMart or the used kids clothes store. I about crapped my pants when I was Cyber Monday shopping looking for clothes for R and found size 18 mos Jeans that were $248 on sale (Fendi brand)- seriously, who buys that?!

Mer- does the gift recipient have a long neck? I would do the scarf if they have a long neck and the scarf would look cute. I never wore fashion scarves until I chopped my hair off and wanted something to cover up my neck a little. I would get one that is neutral or possible animal print, or a really bright one with a bunch of colors. The scarf I wear least is one that is just shades of blue because it doesn't go with much stuff.

Mer- ART helped me a ton. Here is a list of all the certified providers in WI http://www.activerelease.com/providerSearch.asp?strGeocode=%2843.7844397%2C+-88.78786780000001%29&strAddress=Wisconsin%2C+USA

Spike - Thanks!  I think I happened upon that site as well.  The closest one to my house is 40 minutes away which sucks.  Although, it is close to mrszm, so I could visit her! Smile  My mom made a scarf that was super colorful....I felt like a clown when I wore it.  It now sits in my closet!

becky - I have Athleta tights, and love them. They are cute and comfy... they aren't super warm tights though, but I usually just layer tights when it's really cold.

mzm - lol on dh's getting feelsy in the night, that would be a no go for me also!

moxie - we have the elf on the shelf also, yeah it is a bit creepy but whatever makes them nice more often than naughty is great!

leela - yeah potty training, and dropping the diapers seemed like the last passage into childhood and out of babyhood... sad but also nice!

shel - sorry about the money stress, we've had a ton of expenses lately also, so I totally get it.

zorbs - yay for B eating something green! I hope you feel better.

Lee - nice work on the tempo run!!

mer - I wouldn't love either, but I'm not really into accessories at all.

spike - yep the car is getting maintenance, I was posting from my tablet on the moble site, hopefully the real computer is better, I did put spaces inbetween when I was writing it but they didn't stay when it posted.

rocky - good call to take a day off! Sounds like you both needed a day at home. That's great for weight gain!

Jen - this was my first run with the double, it was slow (unlike RG!) but got me out there.

simone - I'm the same way with the cold, it's so hard to get going but once I do, it's great!

arm - I hope it was just your shoes! We want to move in a year or so but I try not to think about it because it will give me an ulcer to think about all I have to do to get our house ready to sell!

mer - ART is the best for injuries! Maybe google chiro's and check out their websites and see if they do ART.

I drive 30 minutes to my ART chiropractor , totally worth it.

Mer - Her first day was great! She didn't cry at all but she cried yesterday and today at drop off. So far she is fine once DH leaves though so I am not too worried. There are several familiar faces at the new school so I think she feels a little more safe than when she first started at her old school.

spike - I have just been cleaning it in dishsoap and water every night before I put it back in his backpack. It's funny though. Since it is only in his mouth (hopefully) I am not freakish about it.

Jen - the chewy is in response to his teacher saying he has an oral issue and chews on pencils at school. He always has to have something in his mouth so he has it on a necklace and loves the feeling of it on his teeth. I got a couple but the one he takes to school is shaped like a soccer ball and about the size of a half dollar. I also have a key but it is huge so he only uses that one at home. I got it at the autism shop but I think it is common for ADHD kids too. Not that he is ADHD, but he is showing some tendencies.

                            Sorry, just a drive by!
