Notes

A run by the windy / wet cost line of Carrick Shore / Kirkcudbrightshire. Frankie was performing in Knockbrex Castle for a birthday kid and I was performing in the rain and winds from all directions. I felt cold from the start and got soaked to the bone. The course was partly on dirty track and also tarmac / cement. Part of the course was pretty hilly / short bumps but steep. I liked that as it made the run more interesting. I felt warmed up on those hills but soon felt cold again for the last downhill miles. It was then that Susan came to the mind as I knew that my last mile was her first mile for COX Marathon. I did think of Susan and run free trying to link in a way through the ocean. I felt this was going to be a tough day for her no matter which way the run was going to go. I focused on positive energies and finished my run at exactly 6th mile. I then headed to the entrance of the Castle whereas I had the chance to change and feel warmer again in my fleece.

Franc came not longer after this and we had a great lunch in Gatehouse thereafter. I really enjoyed the whole thing no matter the weather etc. The first thing I ordered was a hot cup of Earl Grey Tea to feel warm inside and of course my favourite haddock and chips. Yummy treat.

It is nice having different experiences and running back in the memory lane. I knew all these roads at the back of my hand. Once again where one runs then the earth becomes part of the soul. All these places have a story to tell. It was especially this coastline whereas I, once, wrote the 'the sound of the waves' dedicated to my mother.
