Love for the Running, was todays' run.

Today the words came to me on the move 'Long Distance Running lives in the aloneness and uniqueness of the unlimited possibilities of the Runner'. The Runner to Be & The Runner to Become. All is in the moment and one can only take a fast glimpse, catch the moment and make it eternity.

I felt good even before I left home. I had all weathers in this run. Sun, rain, hail stones, sunshine, clouds, warm and cold conditions & wind. Typical Scottish Day! All weathers in just one and half hours. The only missing element was snow! It has happened before in cold freezing conditions. At least today is mild no matter the weather elements. No wonder, why in Scotland the subject matter is always weather. It took me a few years to come to terms with this but even now I find it peculiar that in just a few hours one can experience all 4 seasons. In long distance running this can be a disaster if the runner is not prepared.

I run easy for first 6 to 7 miles and then pushed it for last 3 to 4 miles. An effortless 8:47 for last mile was a real bonus.

It was a good run with a feeling of wellbeing physically and mentally. Hallux was awkward at certain points but I managed to overcome it and keep it going. -:)

As I am typing this I am thinking that 'it is not long now before the verdict'. Wed 26th is my Medical App. with Orthopaedics / Dr R Ferdinand at DGRI. Not long before I know when the operation will be . . . . . KEEP ON RUNNING I say to myself ....KEEP ON RUNNING while I can.
