Notes

Despite all problems from my Trail run 2 days ago (tight quads, tightness on right side gluts and hamstring) I managed to have a relatively productive and pain free run. Of course it goes without saying that Hallux left toe joint is always stiff and awkward at times but it allows miraculously to run. Put everything together my running becomes more and more a daily miracle. On that basis and only I have no complaints whatsoever.

Today's run was at 80% a quality run for me. I paced myself and enjoyed the motion without placing any expectations of the body. The entire area I run was pretty flooded from the heavy rain of the recent 3 to 5 days. All fields and river banks flooded. Water everywhere. Yet we are so lucky here in comparison to other parts of the country. The scenery changes completely when the rain comes. What next? Maybe harsh ice weather, who knows? For most of the time I had to run right into puddles and so my feet and my body were completely soaked throughout my run and body felt heavy in flooded shoes. However, body remained nice and warm as I was able to keep on running.

I am completely satisfied with this run and grateful for every step. Just about 9.5 miles and is nothing more I can ask but telling myself after all 2014 is a better year. The only thing now is that I desperately need new running shoes as I feel the ground even more and more by the day. Soon I shall.
