Notes

My 3rd run in sequence in a cold but fresh Sunday morning. This run was flawless and effortless to my surprise. Garmin was 'dead' and so I run as in the old good times ......by body, mind and soul. Going by effort and logging time as I left home I feel must have averaged a 9:40 min mile. whatever the time this run was beautiful and emotionally fortified as I went back the memory lane in my childhood running. There was a feeling of magnitude and amazing grace that I can still run and link to the beauty of the past.

The bonus for going out early on a Sun morning is that people are still in their beds which means not many cars around and less noise and hussle and bussle. It was beautiful running up the hill on the newly surfaced tarred road towards the quiet small village of Kirkpartick Durhum. On the Cross Roads I took to the left and carried on for another 3/4 mile to the Big tree. I know this route so well and in a way I do not need the Gamin to guide me. My brain can just about hear the Garmin sound logging in the miles even when it is not there.

The body was in tact and the motion flawless and effortless. Running was pulling me along almost as going with the wind. There was a feeling of peace in all this. Body did not complain and all was fine. This was another Great Run. There was a feeling of self- contentment and amazing grace in this run.

The funny thing is that when I approached home I placed my right hand over the left to switch of the Garmin that I was not even wearing. The brain, I thought to myself, is really an amazing thing. It does work it's own ways and imprints images and pictures forever.
