Notes

This was a really tough run today. I have not had many like this one before. I once again became dehydrated because of wearing the wrong clothing. I think I need to stop using jackets from now on and on a dry day just use a couple of fine layers shirts to avoid moisture being retained in body. I became very hot at approx. 4th mile and with moisture being witheld the whole body felt frozen which is not good for me. So, I was in trouble again. Positivity of Stevie kept me going ...."look at the negative but live in the positive". Music .. music does the trick for me now. So, I had those thoughts of cutting the route short. But I took my jacket off and then by using my water bottle again and also the Gel at approx. 9th mile I felt slightly better. I was running better at 9th mile to 12th but then again I struggled after this. I felt very tired and legs did not have it. I also felt a bit sick. I was running easy but It felt as I was almost running a full Marathon. I struggled the last mile immensely. I felt almost ill that I had to walk the last 300 yards (not like me at all) but I knew I had done the workout so it did not matter. I went straight into a nice warm bath and what a relief God I felt as there was life after death. Terrible but today I did not know why I resented so much this run ... The pain was too bad to ignore it. Well after 9 hours sleep last night I felt I would have done better but this is what is all about. I did not have it. However, on a positive note there was spaces when I felt the beauty of freedom up on those hills and it really touched me that even like this I can feel this. It is worth noting that this is one of the toughest runs as most of the course is all up long-steep hills. One thing I know is that I worked my hardest and thank God this was not the day of my coming Half Marathon.
