An easy run in a tough 12 mile course. This run was fun and joy. It has been a while since I felt this way throughout my entire run. The recent weeks have been extremely difficult in many ways but in particular with my health (eyesight probs). So, this run has come to be fun in the right time for me. I needed it so much.
Weather today is very wet, heavy rain and fairly windy on the hills. So, I got soaked to the bone with heavy shoes. I had, at times to run through deep paddles. This, however, is my favourite course for training for Boston. It has been given the name 'Frankie Course' as Franc introduced me to this wonderful hilly loop. I added two miles today to make it longer but the main course is an exactly 10 mile loop with hills all around This will be my Core Course for my Boson Training. Two loops of this in a strong pace it will make the HeartBreak Hill look easy. SK came to me today and now I know how to train for Boston. In today's run I did all the mind work on how I will train for Boston in terms of courses, distance and effort. It is coming closer and closer to my soul the whole idea of the Boston Marathon. This time I will be running my first Marathon by myself with this to be the Boston One. But I know in my heart and soul that SK will be there more than ever. It is a spiritual strong connection that will guide me all the way to the finish line. My main focus and priority from now to 19th April 2010 is BOSTON MARATHON and only BOSTON.
Once again I am finding out how strong I have become on the hills. At some point I had just finsished running a steep hill for approx 1/2 mile up when I looked back realising that I had completed the hill without having felt it in terms of effort. My body felt so strong up on the hills without any sings of breathlessness or efrot put into it whatsoever..
Today's run will take me a long way. I feel so happy today that a confirmation has reached my inner soul. Now I need the confirmation from The Greeks for my Entry and 'THIS WILL BE IT'.
