WHAT A RUN I HAD TODAY! Run badly for first 4 miles. Legs were ruthless with tightness, feeling heavy and as they almost did not belong to me. It is somehow this horrible feeling that you lose control of your own legs and thus you cannot be in tune with your body. So, I did carried away hoping for the same as ever ... that eventually running would relax the whole body and then feel normal again. Weather was ruthless too. It was one of the most difficult runs regarding weather conditions. Running up hills I felt also quite exposed to all weathers. For at least most of the run (10 miles out of the 12.2) I run against strong winds and heavy rain hitting my face. The pain was that bad that in a way helped me to forget my leg issues. Between the Devil and the Blue Sea it was for most of the run. The amazing thing of all though was that I LOVED IT as it made everything more worthwhile is one can accept this. At 4 point mile legs felt normal again and my body took control well tuned and went from there against the winds. It is an amazing feeling to say "SO WHAT IF IT IS WINDY AND RAIN" it does not really matter. I was soaked to the bone and my running shoes felt heavier than ever but my soul felt dry and happy because I was not defeated by anything. I loved the hills ... most of the course was up and down steep hills but it made the run more interesting. I did really love this run after all. My problem is the Compartment Syndromme effects but I am fighting it as much as I can with running. Running up-hill tends to help my body and releave in a way the leg aches and tightness.

Today the run was awesome and the fact that I was due to receive my session from the Sports Therapist made it more worthwhile in the end to keep going. This was the real treat of today that I had arranged my session after my run. It could have not been a better day to do so as my body was craving for this. So, now I will continue with the usual runs till next Sunday which is to be my BIG DAY (THE 22 MILE UP ON STEEP HILLS OF DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY). So, I am lookiing forward to the next challenge now and the MARATHON THEREAFTER.
