Change in the weather again. Rather wet and windy but not as cold. I set off for an easy 8 miler as legs felt a bit weak while running for first 3 to 4 miles. I then thought I could do some hill repeats on the way back on the steep hill which motivated me. But I felt a bit breathless and tired so I settled for an easy but strong pace on the climb back. However, when on top and after having felt pretty strong up-hill I decided to do STRIDES or at least try. I did 16 X 40 after all with great ease and pleasure. It became easier as it went on. At some point I noted I was running well before 7 min pace per mile. I am strong and this gave me confidence to go on. I could have done this forever no stop. I LOVE STRIDES. I had a head on wind on the way back which although slightly down hill it created some resistance and made me work harder. I was delighted with the result. A tough run to start with but with an amazing finish/result. So I was able to put a good workout after all.
