Notes

The Ron Hill Mile in a tempo fashion running the Carlisle Park Run / 5k.

Today I had to look after the knees and the painful arthritic toe. I had to prioritise what matters. So, I run smart, as the Big Coach Reno would say! I run an average of 9:11 pace. I cannot believe this was my pace on Loch Ness Marathon just about 7 yrs ago!

I took it easy in the start and during 2nd mile I must overtaken around 20 to 25 people people. This tells me how slow I was going to start with.

Then I run the 2nd mile faster but in control. My toe was hurting today from the start but knees were reasonably o.k but sensitive. I am getting better slowly with the knees and so did not want to jeopardise my so far recovery.

I run with my mind all along.

If felt easy in terms of Cardio Work but still hard work as I have not run but a mile daily over the last 4 weeks and had no training to race the 5k.

For 3rd mile I went for it a bit faster and gave it all for last quarter mile.

Franc did brilliantly well with a 20 min and 9 sec. which is much faster from his previous Park Run. All great and this has been a wonderful day and so enjoyable with a Starbucks Coffee to follow, some shopping and a great yummy lunch at Alexandros Greek Restaurant. What else could we ask for.

And the most important thing is that the body feels goooooooooooood!!!

Thank you God for today and for all the happy moments.
