New Balance 757 (August 2009) (retired)

Equipment Info
Activity: Run
Shoe size: 11.00 (US/Canada)
Total distance: 120.01 mi
Purchase date: 8/1/2009
Price: $55.00
Notes: Shoe size is 11 2E. Bought 4 of the shoe from Holabird Sports for around $55 each. Had been alternating them. This is the most recent one and is likely to be used for a bit longer. Initial mileage is uncertain. I love the shoe. It sometimes feels a little too wide, but the fit is the best I've felt. I'm rather certain my right foot is wider than my left and my left foot is maybe longer than my right. I don't know. Anyway, these shoes seem to have been the best compromise I've ever found. Turned in on 1/15/2010 for discount at CCR.

My review:

This is simply the best shoe I've ever owned. I'm on my 6th pair of 757s and will soon graduate to the 758 mostly due to availability and not even because I think the 757 is obsolete. I've tried all sorts of brands and New Balance's width availability has given me the most options and the 757 neutral/cushion has proven the best fit for me. I've found the shoe ideal for training at all varieties of distance. They have plenty of support for long runs and are still light enough for speed work. I really can't praise the shoe enough.
