Notes
I was willing to go out as quickly as a 5:30 opening mile to put myself in a good position for a fast time. I imagine my opening mile wasn't too far off the mark, but I grew tired as the race went on. I faded. It wasn't a bad fade, but a slow fade that I didn't have any inclination to overcome until maybe 1000 meters left in the race. I was pleased with my race strategy and how well I hung on at my pace, but I really expected to last longer than I did at the faster pace.
