This was a constant run. It was pretty hot out, though there was a strange headwind for part of the first 3 mile interval. My Achilles bothered me on and off the entire time. I had considered doing 3x5k and indeed at the end I felt like I could do it, but the road pounding was adding up and, since my Achilles hurt, I sincerely doubted the benefit of another set versus the risk of injury/wear.
I do not feel very comfortable running at my marathon pace. I'd rather run faster or slower, but not around 7:15. Give me 6:50 or 7:40, but please not 7:15!!! Oh well. Not bad for my first true pace training workout.
