Ran an initial loop of St. Mary's River State Park. I counted about 20 spider webs until I ran right by what I'm pretty sure was a snake. I then lost count of the spider webs and began the snake count, which did not grow beyond one and for this I am grateful. Bugs were a bit annoying. All in all, I was creeped out after the initial loop and also a bit tired, so I decided I would run to the main road and then maybe just return to the park and be done for the day. Well, I took a detour and I didn't feel terrible, so I kept taking more detours. I ran basically all of the roads in the neighborhood. I then ran to the main road and resolved that I would perhaps do a final two miles in the park if I managed to be around 13 when I returned, which I was. So I ran the dam side and back. I had an unfortunate break where a lady was walking with her dog unleashed, except she was listening to whatever and her dog was behind her, so she couldn't see him come play with me. The dog kept running back and forth between her and I as I approached, as if to play with me and to alert her. Well, after doing this three times without her taking notice of me approaching, the dog became more aggressive. I just stopped and then said, "Excuse me," to get the lady's attention. I then had to say it louder. I then had to practically yell it. Fortunately, she heard that one, so I didn't have to truly yell. She came back and put the dog on a leash, so I was able to finish my final two miles. I felt great when I resumed running, which indicated my heart rate dropped during the rest, so I went right into a stride and maintained it until I started to feel as bad as I remembered feeling. I then finished out the run at a pretty fast clip.
