Managed to win this race, but a girl with the last name Rono was not terribly far behind. The course was long. I suspected as much and was able to confirm it at the turnaround (2x my distance was going to be too far). So all things considered I'm pretty happy with my time. I'm not sure I hit my watch correctly at the end of the race (I like to wait until I'm in the chute to hit it; I've seen too many profession race photos of elites crossing the line and hitting their watch and the photos just don't look as good). I don't think the extra second or two matter, except that I've been saying I ran this at a 6:08 pace just like my previous race, so that's why I bring it up at all to be nitpicky.
