First Marathon!! What better Marathon to be my first!
I ran every mile and slowed to a walk for every water stop.
I grab treats as much as I could along the way.....jelly beans, oranges, banana, power gel, pretzels, raisins
I drank 2 cups of water every stop and some gatorade. Helped out tremendously. Did not get dehydrated. No cramps.
Towards the end my left knee was acting up but ran through it. Right knee hurt a little. Ribs never hurt once!
Was an amazing race. The crowd was a huge support!
2nd half of race ran alot slower.
Legs soar 2 days after.....left knee really hurts and swollen.....putting ice on it
Average Splits for every 5k / 3.1 miles
5k = 8:49
10k = 9:19
15k = 9:30
20k = 9:48
25k = 9:47
30k = 10:56
35k = 11:07
40k = 11:22
Last 1.4 miles = 15:16 minutes
