Notes

This is just an overall reflection on how today went;

I think it went okay, but I think me doing yesterday's recovery run at 8pm made my legs more tired than they needed to be for today's hill workout. I also definitely think there is still a lot of improvement I need to make at Blackwell so I am excited to keep going there in the weeks moving on.

2 things I am going to be focusing on heavily are

-hydrating A LOT, not just 1 day before, but throughout the week

-Getting in recovery runs as early as possible and not delaying them because of sleep, soreness or heat

By going through with these 2 things I will be much more prepared and overall have a better Q workout so I will in the end be improving more.

Today, the main issue was the heat and humidity, and the second issue was my legs not being fully recovered from yesterday's 5 mile run.

(Although I did take that run much more conservatively and I have been taking my easy runs more conservatively so I think that is a step in the right direction).

I am thinking of just doing a reflection entry after most Q workouts just to jot down what I think is going well, and what I think is going poorly, and what I need to do to be better the next time.

Some things that went well today were how comfortable the first 2 miles of the tempo being even after a 5:45 first mile through hilly gravel terrain, and also just completing the workout (even though it was the B workout) fully. (rip last weeks bluestem failure).

Also one last side note, I know I have been lazy with logging sleep for the past few weeks and I am aware of that and currently trying to fix that and be more diligent with that, this week should be a full week of logged sleep once again.

You are definitely making progress, that's for sure. Good idea to get in those recovery runs earlier. Also, I like that you are going to make sure they are done easy.
