Notes

Started off the day feeling very sore, some tightness in my left calf and inflammation in my right heel left me feeling a little worrisome of how today's run was going to go. I still made sure throughout the day to drink as much water as possible, I managed 40oz. Tried out the new active and I actually like it despite it feeling a little longer but I feel like it is actually going to help improve our flexibility and still warm us up before the run. I started the first mile of the run feeling a little shakey and was just part of the Dovalovsky, Horn, Kennedy, Smilie and Rodrigues pack but as distance increased the better I felt and was conversing with Nicolas and Ryan. I was feeling good despite the faster speed than I've been used to for a long time and we managed to get just past the brown bridge on the way to Knoch. Once we turned it was me and Nicolas in the front talking and we eventually branched off cause we were both feeling great. I didn't check pace once the entire run and it was entirely on feel which made me surprised to see the average pace was 6:22 by the end cause we were talking the whole time. Stephen arrived shortly after we finished and then we all waited for the rest to come back and then started strides. Then 4 pool stairs which were hot and grueling as my legs are still pretty weak but I assume this will get better as time goes on. Weightlifting was a little bit of a wakeup call for me because I realized how weak my arms are so I am excited to see the improvement as time went on. Overall, this was probably my best run since the runathon and even though I took a week and a half off and then started running last week, I was very surprised for how today turned out and am excited for what comes in the rest of the winter. Definitely going to go at an easier relaxed pace for at least the next two days but, legs are feeling great after a couple of hours after today's run.
