Really fun run, paced Andrew on his way to a PR. This pace felt really good for me, fast enough to be interesting, but easy enough not to have to suffer. This was a flat gravel course on a railroad bed, perfect running and good conditions.

I wasn't too sure about how pacing Thunder would work, as he is a pretty self-reliant guy, but I figured the best thing I could do was stay relaxed, positive, and keep the pace steady so he didn't have to think. We ran a really solid rhythm the whole way until the last few miles, when he was really working to hold the pace. That was tough -- what do you say to a guy who is fighting really hard. Everything seems trite in that sort of moment.

I am pleased with how this run went, but when I think I'd have to run almost a minute a mile faster to run a PR, I realize how tough that would be. There were moments when I felt like I could have won this race (winner was 2:42), but actually I think I had just as much fun doing this.

Run included a ~30s pee stop, and I slipped and went down at the turn-around. We were on ~6:40 pace or just under until 23, when we ran a few 7 flats. Ate 3 gus, and took water on the course (~5 little cups.)

The day after I am surprisingly not sore at all, but I have a pretty bad blister on my achilles and my right peroneal tendon is a little tender.
