Crazy day, barely made it out.
We did a longish warmup, then the workout: 1st mile of the XC course at 10k effort (5:27), then a mile easy run, then 6 x 60s hills (pretty hard), then the last mile of the XC course at 10k effort (or a little harder -- 5:20). Didn't feel great on the last mile, but felt very smooth and comfortable on everything else.
