Notes

This was the big hiking day in the Grand Canyon. Started on the South Kaibab trail to go down, went down over 5, 000 ft to reach the bottom of the canyon/Colorado river. Once we got to the bottom it was 106º feeling like 110-120º. We rested a few hours and then headed up the Bright Angel trail, ascending over 5, 000 ft again. Started at 4:50am and finished at 9:30pm. Also, hada 30-40lb backpack to accompany the trip. Was an amazing trip and glad I did it.
