Notes

Cobble stone diving at 8th km, got both hands bruised badly (right one bleeding a bit), and left leg thumb got mangled, but bones feel fine one day after, only the inner bleeding turned it violet. Was a bit aching during run, except the right-hand U-turn, where I was aching and cursing loudly. Left knee is slightly hit too. Otherwise quite uneventful race, before start I decided to not even try for 1:25 pace and basically I gave up, as I feel lacking in training. So I went for steady 1:30 just to check if I still can pull that one, in first km the 1:30 pacemaker was slightly bit ahead as usually, I went to back of his group rather than racing with them. Somewhere around 5th km I got ahead on some downhill and kept going at the easy pace by feeling, then later I figured out the advantage is very slowly building up. At 14th km still feeling well I was quite confident the 1:30 is not interesting anymore and I tried rather to attack 4:00 pace and 1:28:00. And I was not alone, so lot of people around me pushing hard at that point, but it was going very well. Till 17th km, where I hit the "wall" again, this time very gently, dropping only to 4:20-4:22 (coincidence with the tartan 1km in last fasting training?), and mostly I was annoyed by the huge cobble-stones, running through them second time just before finish, knowing it will be very difficult to increase pace in last 200m due to surface. But still very reasonable finish, overall without the fall it would feel sort of too easy? The weather affects my performance too much, I didn't expect such boost from perfect weather (a bit of wind only, but that was lost in the thumb aching anyway).
