Notes
Taking it easy (walking) on the uphills and in deep snow and on slippery ice, which meant I walked about 15+km of the race. Also I was feeling quite tired toward end, the ending downhill on asphalt was very slow (~4:45 tempo), so the easy tempo after start was probably just what I can handle, or even a bit more. Got one downhill on 3rd km with 1km in 3:48, while I was not pushing too hard. On long uphills I was able to cook myself just by mere walking. Have to build up fitness level tremendously before I can compete on similar track.
health notes: one fall on knees, they ache a bit and are a bit more sensitive, but it looks good so far, probably no damage. Right ankle still very weak, aching a bit and the control of landing of foot in terrain was bad. Still feels only like over trained ligaments, no pathological pain so far.
On refreshment station I was too late, no tea&water, only oranges. Pity I didn't took my own flask, Last 10-15km I was somewhat dehydrated, even when I was eating a bit of snow.
track notes: lot of stone steps, not suitable for beginner with V5F, glad I took my Mizuno Laser, which were slippy on snow, but protected the foots very well. Take own water!
