2-3M warm-up + 7-8M threshold (ended @ eagles landing apts. + 2-3M cool-down

Really tough workout! Though I did 9M the afternoon before, I wanted to get this thing done in the morning. Not to my surprise, my body was unaccustomed to doing workouts in the morning. I warmed up around 7-8 min./M and started my tempo feeling kind of stiff. My first mile was right under 6:20, and the second was right around 6. Furthermore, I was hurting! And to make me feel even worse, Adam instantly dropped me and looked really comfortable. However, I hung in there and kept the thoughts positive. Around the 5th mile, I discovered that I progressively lowered my pace to about 5:40-5:50/M. I then caught Adam, ran with him for about a 1/2 mile, and decided to just go with it. After leaving him, I ran about 6 min./M. I've never done this workout before, and considering that I was in a state a sheer torpor. I am satisfied. I wish I had my splits, but my watch died during the cool-down, which disallowed the workout from being recorded.
