Notes

My best run thus far. Not v motivated and was prepared to call Chris to pick me up. Toes numb for the first 2 miles. Feet wet the entire time. Dressed well. The north face jacket is the best purchase. Some wind but not too bad.

About 1:20 stops not included in time, so more like 8:17 pace.

I had a low right before the big downhill and immediately after. Felt amazing on the hills. Did not push at all. My goal was to feel like I can do 4 more miles at the end, rather than push to get a faster pace at the end. Could not believe how I felt my best miles 17 through 22. Feeling confident and I think 8:15 will be the best I will go for. Barely looked at watch since I had the jacket cover my hands.

HR 156 (v low for me). 775 feet gain. 2 gels only, banana before start. 16 ounces water only -2 stops on course and sips from my bottle. Ate out on Thursday with Mirelle and also extra last night.

Yay!! So good to read this!! I'm sure it feels so great to have it done!!! There will always be little lows but I remember after struggling a bit in the first half last year that miles 17-22 were exactly where I started to feel really good too!! You shouldn't have any trouble running 8:15!! It should feel quite easy actually come race day!!! Congrats on a great run!!!
