Headed out to Little Red today with Beer, Brady, Carlson, Carrigan, and Austin. Built through at a decent clip until the hill, then made a big surge and tried to pick it up. Definitely not as strong as I'd hoped to be so far because this run was a lot harder than it used to be for me. Tried to stick with Carlson once he made his move but only stayed close because he had no idea where he was going. Eventually passed him back, only due to his digestion issue. He would've had me by an easy 10 or 15 seconds today otherwise. Impressive 1st Little Red of the season for most of these guys. Definitely a lot of room for improvement for me, especially if I want to run anywhere near my goal time in a half-marathon this fall. Only real downside to this run is that I sprained my ankle on literally the last step of the run. Hurts like hell but hopefully heals up quickly.
