Miserably slow today and was tying up by 100 to 150. Wrong pick on the spikes and just wasn't ready for that kind of speed. Made it through 200 in 27 as planned but wasn't feeling good enough to pick it up like hoped to help him out. Faded off the inside on the backstretch so that he could pass me and eventually finished up, terrible form and all, at 57. Rough go knowing I used to be able to close almost this fast in a distance race.
