Notes

Pace and timing here may be slightly different as we didn't get an exact number on this but this was my VO2 Max test today at Benedictine after work. Started by walking for a few minutes and then slowly worked up the speed while adding grade, one or the other each minute until I called it quits. Didn't really get too tough until the last few minutes with the last 2 minutes being tougher to get a full breath and harder for my foot to push off as the incline got so high. In retrospect I wish I had really surged and attempted to hold on another 30 secs to 1 minute, as I would probably get close to making it that far. Ended up being just short of Hartner's best when I got my results back, but am very happy and pleasantly surprised with the 73.6 as my results for now. At least hoping my mental side helped that out, but know I could have gotten another 30 secs to a minute if necessary today and probably more with my foot at 100%. Would like to do this at least once a year to keep me honest in training going forward. Recovered very quickly and a very cool experience. Thought I wouldn't be fatigued when I got home to bike and started ok but legs really were cashed from this awkward effort.
