Easy run on the treadmill. Did this in two parts. I got about a mile in when I found out my dad had a massive heart attack. Kind of crazy - he's only 51, eats healthy, normal weight, runs regularly, is taking cholesterol medications, has normal blood pressure, and passed a scheduled stress test a few months ago. No indications of anything wrong and then boom - random heart attack. This type is nicknamed the widowmaker because its only got a 12% survival rate if you can't get to a hospital quickly. Luckily he was at home, so from the time he felt chest pain to the placement of the stent in the ICU was only about 25 minutes. He'll have no long term damage, but my mom is a wreck. He's gonna have to stay overnight for a few days so I'll be visiting regularly.

Kind of scary, especially given that the only explanation is genetics. My grandpa has really high cholesterol, my dad now has history of CAD, and my mom and her mom both have high blood pressure. Here's to hoping I don't randomly die in a couple decades.
