Went out for a morning run on the great west before I went to the airport. I’ve talked about my friend nick from high school a few times in my logs before, but he’s one of the smartest people I know. His freshman year he was in chem e, then decided he didn’t like it, so he switched to stats so he could be an actuary. That was supposed to set him back a year, so he would graduate 2020 after 5 years. Instead he just loaded his schedule and graduated a year early in 2018, only 3 years. I have no idea how that’s possible, but he did it. So he’s 20 years old, freshly graduated, and gets a job as an actuary at Lincoln Financial as an actuary, but he job is in Greensboro, North Carolina. Fast forward a year and he has a job offer back in Chicago where he can get a raise and be closer to home. He accepts, but he needs to move all his stuff back. So he calls up me and our friends Tommy and Yudesh. He says he’ll buy our plane tickets if we help him move. We accept. The plan is get to Greensboro tonight, bool around the city with his work friends, move his stuff into his car and a uhaul on Friday, then Friday night at like 9PM we drive the 13 hours back to Chicago. Arrive at 8 AM. We’ll see how that goes.
I started the run solo but I bumped into JB and Rohan, so I tagged along with them and we talked about how Kanye is a genius for a few miles.
