Notes

Steady state went well. I tried to run at a higher heart rate, but didn't really get it up very much. I raised the average one beat. I felt like I was working harder though...

My average heart rate on the steady state part, the 5.8 was 160

My average pace was 6:30.

Here are the splits:

1- 7:40

2- 6:28

3- 6:30

4 - 6:46

5- 6:04

.8 - 4:18

Again, that final .8 pulled the average down like the last mile did last time. The 4:18 is 5:22 mile pace, but I don't necessarily think that means I went faster downhill than I did last time, the fast split last time was 5:40, but it was for the mile 10-11, in which there is a small hill in the very beginning. So all in all, I think it is pretty equal.

I could tell my legs were a little more tired than Saturday when I was going up hill, and that could have contributed to me not getting my HR up higher, maybe I should have just been pushing harder.

It is hard on these courses to really know what HR you are at while you are running, because it can go 140 part of one mile down hill and 170 right before you crest, all in the same mile.
