i was going to do some strides and start light workouts this week, but half way through my run, my knee started hurting. and it isn't the normal kind of pain either. usually, when something starts to hurt, it's muscle pain and it loosens up over the course of the run and i can treat it with heating / icing / stretching. but, this time it's different. instead of loosening up the longer i run, it gets worse to the point where i can no longer bend my knee. i've spent the last two days (i'm writing this on tuesday morning) icing, stretching and taking ibuprofen and as far as i can tell it hasn't really gotten any better. i have no access to athletic trainers or foam rollers and i don't know what to do. i'm worried that i did something kind of bad.
