Iced achilles 6-8 times for 15-20 minutes during the day today. Ran two miles on the treadmill due to rain outside. Need to keep up with lower impact running (treadmill or track) so I can keep training and heal achilles. After workout achilles was still a little sore, iced twice after workout. Heart rate during the workout never got up to 140 even though I increased speed from 6 MPH to 7.6 MPH over the course of the run. I'm not sure if that was due to a malfunction with the watch or it is just that much easier for me to run on the treadmill. I am not planning on running tomorrow, hopefully this will allow my achilles to heal more. I have a lot scheduled this weekend, 5 mile MAF test on Saturday and 8 mile long run on Sunday. I am going to make my first attempt at running on the W&L track for my 8 miler on Sunday. Will continue with lots of ice on the achilles.
