Notes
Today was the Prague Marathon, my third attempt at the distance. The course was very pretty, the weather was good, and I loved the city. Unfortunately, however, I was rather disappointed with the time. I was pretty much on target for my goal of breaking 2:35 through about 15k, and then things started to get hard. The final several miles were very difficult, and I was at the point of walking past the water breaks while sipping before continuing on. I'm not sure what went wrong or why I was so far off of what I thought was a doable - though very lofty - goal. Maybe the fatigue in my legs the last couple of weeks meant more than I thought, even though workouts continued to go so well.
Despite that diasppointment, I really liked exploring Prague, and the very cheap and delicious beer and food was an added bonus. Definitely a positive experience, despite the disappointing outcome.
