I decided to go for a run before warm up at Counties this afternoon since I had wanted to sleep this morning after last night's late adventure and I knew we would be going to the park after this last night of competition, but of course I had forgotten that it gets hottest during the day in the early afternoon. I struggled through a brutal 9 miles in well over 90 degree heat with minimal shade, making up a route around Rye near Playland using a lot of the 5.5 mi Turkey Trot course.
