Notes

Did a tough workout this evening, though it didn't go nearly as well as last week. I started out with the Mona fartlek, during which I did a total of about 3.86 miles in 20:41, averaging about 5:22. This was quite a bit slower than I had expected, but perhaps the hill on Florissant added some time that I didn't make up. Who knows. Nevertheless, I felt pretty good actually on the hard pieces, with the legs feeling like they were rolling pretty well. And I came through the first mile in just under 5:10, which was more on track with last week. Oh well.

After the Mona, I did 5 minutes easy and then went into a 22 min tempo, during which I did 4.05 miles (averaging about 5:26's). This, unlike the fartlek, was actually quite good to see, as it felt strong and came after the whole first portion of the workout.
