Notes

Weird evening. I headed out for a short run + circuit combo, and the run felt good. Comfortable pace, very relaxed effort, no pain in the hip or elsewhere. But then I stopped for the circuit and there was a serious pain in my upper right glute, and down the hamstring. I had noticed some tightness in like my back-right waist earlier and rolled it briefly before the run, but doing some exercises the hamstring became very sharply painful very quickly. I gave up after about 6 minutes and jogged back home -- and again, this running felt fine. But the pain almost seemed to get worse after I got home -- anything activating the hamstring was very sharply painful. By the time I got into bed this evening, even the motion of rolling over in bed hurt.

Hard to understand where this came from, seeing as there was nothing during Sunday's run and I took yesterday off (except for some core and hip stuff). I know I've ramped up my total volume a bit in the last few weeks, and especially shifted that volume out of the pool and onto my legs. But it's weird that Sunday would feel fine and then this would come on so suddenly.

Hoping a day or two of rest sorts it out quickly...
