Notes

I ran my longest run of the year to date this morning, with a tempo mixed in. After warming up for 3 miles, I launched into a 5-mile tempo at pretty consistent 6:00 pace (finishing faster, with the last mile at 5:47). This felt pretty good, especially early, though I started to feel some fatigue in the legs about halfway through - perhaps unsurprisingly given the tough work I did in FL last week and the long distance - but was able to keep up the pace without straining too hard. Would have loved for it to be a bit faster, especially as I focused on flatter areas, but I should be pleased with this for afirst sustained effort on tired-ish legs. Also benefited from the sharply cooler weather this morning, which felt awesome and made a big difference in the run.
