While I listed my second run of the day as being just before midnight tonight, it was actually about 12:30am that I actually went out. It was Johnny's bday today so we went out for dinner to celebrate, which meant that I didn't have time to run after work and before dinner so instead I had to wait for my steak dinner to digest before heading out. I was surprised and a little upset to find that even at 1am it was still about 83 degrees and very humid out, but despite that I actually felt pretty good tonight. I did the normal Pleasantville/Thornwood loop but wen coming back I took 117 all the way to the top of King St rather than going down the road by the library, and that made the loop almost exactly 10 mi. I was surprised to find upon getting back home that I had averaged only about 7:00 pace for the run because I had generally been feeling strong and there were portions during which I had felt like I was actually going at a pretty good clip, but I guess the heat and humidity slowed me down a bit which is fine.
