Pemi Round II, Day 2! The Franconia ridge was stunning as ever, and we were lucky to have good weather throughout the morning. Started to get overcast on our way up Garfield, and by Galehead hut it was actively raining. Though it was getting late in the day (slow progress on the descent from Lafayette, too-long summit breaks, too-late start?), we decided to push on to Guyot campsite. Tough climb up South Twin, as expected, but then we made excellent time from South Twin to Guyot. The rain was consistent though, and we got into camp pretty soaked through. Thank goodness for the new shelter, which saved us having to set up wet camp!
