Solid run this morning in the park. Did the first two miles pretty relaxed, then started to press sightly on the third, and then quasi-accidently jumped into a short tempo. I held it for just under 10 minutes (when I got to the bottom of Great Hill at the north end of the park), and felt surprisingly smooth for it. The stretch I did obviously had a lot of downhill, but the pace was still solid even on the flats. A neat little mini-workout to remind me of what's to come.
Eased up then on the hill and the rest of the way home - though the pace still stayed faster than I'd have expected (and feeling much easier than the first half of the run).
