Notes
Today was NESCAC's, and it went really well! As a team we got second to Middlebury which was to bad, but I placed sixth on the team, putting me in the group that'll go to regionals and hopefully nationals! It was a really tough race, largely because the course was an absolute mess. It had been pretty rainy there recently and the courser was the muddiest course I have ever seen. I even fell once though luckily not badly, but it was awful and there was so little traction. It was lots of fun though and I definitely enjoyed it. I felt good for the first mile or so and then started feeling more tired, but when Scott started to pass me around 2.5 miles I figured I had to go with him and so I did, though it felt harder than I wanted to it. I hung on though and went back and forth with him and Springel, though they got ahead somewhere around 3 or 3.5 miles. At the 4 mile marker I suddenly felt much better and started to drive, determined (though not 100% hopeful) that I would catch some people as I was then in 8th for the team and Jack and Scott were a good ways ahead. I pushed though and with about 200m to go I caught Jack, and with 100m to go I caught Scott and nearly got Springel, though he just edged me out at the finish. It was all in all a great race and I'm really happy with it, and I'm so excited for the races to come!
