I went for a swim today to give my glute another day of rest before what will hopefully be a big week for me. I did a solid workout that I pushed pretty hard again, trying to funnel some of my feelings into a good workout (and it's remarkable how much they can fuel you when it gets tough). I did my normal warm up, then 5x100 free on 1:30 (coming in on 1:10), 50 easy, 3x300 alt 100 back medium pace/100 free build on 4:30 (coming in on 4:00), 4x200 IM on 3:15 (coming in on 2:40-2:45), and then 4x100 kick (first two free w/ board, second two fly in streamline on back) on 2:00 (coming in on 1:30-1:35), and finishing up with an easy 250 cool down to round out the 3500 yds. It wasn't easy, and I could tell that my arms were suffering for the break I'd taken from the pool, but I was able to power through and it felt pretty good. I finished out the workout with 15 min of core.
