after work trail run...warm-up day before first race of the year...sunny and chilly but felt balmy compared to recent frigid winter weather...ran one loop of the 50K course with an orange trail out/back and a field loop to add a little distance...started slow but found an easy stride...trails thawing but still frozen in places and muddy/soggy in others...plenty of snow cover left on the trails...wore the ice bugs for the first time in years! recovery was a Molson ice tall boy...490c...felt good...
