Notes
Nice course and fun race. Ran in second spot for the first mile until the leader slowed. I don't know if he tied his shoes, which I noticed to be untied for at least a half a mile. Then Steve Schneider came up and I ran with him until the last quarter mile. Probably a good thing, as I likely would have injured myself sooner and done more damage if I tried to pull away from him sooner. Felt good to speed up (from 6:30 to sub 6:00 pace) at the end, but this all changed when I felt my left upper hammy pulling where it was already tight and has been for at least a month. This started some time after Boston, as I did not feel it then. Back to water running and gentle stretching (to include yoga at the Y if possible) in order to heal before Bob's race, I hope.
