Planned on tempo pace of 6:25 and HR of 155, but Garmin says I was slightly slower and working harder than 90% of max HR. Maintained 4th overall position from the beginning. Felt steady, or at least I was trying to calm the beast. Used my Vibram Five-fingers on the sand. I'm glad I did, but my right Achilles is sore from this. My calves also feel like I ran more than 5 miles, which is to be expected in these cushion-less shoes.
